Full Time Day Shift - Every other Weekend Required Position Summary: Maintains standards established for general cleaning, which include mopping, vacuuming, disinfecting, trash removal and changing linens. Documents assignments completion and safety hazards. Stocks supplies. Participates in staff and guest relations. Attends meetings. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Cleans room and changes linen in patient areas upon discharge Dusts and scrubs patient rooms, ancillary areas, operating rooms, lounges Cleans bath and shower area Changes curtains as needed Removes trash from building Mops floors Washes walls Responds to emergency calls for unplanned clean-ups Vacuums floors Stocks clean and soiled utility rooms, isolation cupboards, carts and dispensers Replenishes soap and paper supplies Removes soiled linen from hampers Cleans equipment and cart for following shift and restocks housekeeping closet Completes daily work sheets, reports safety hazards and/or needed repairs Cleans offices Assists in training new staff Performs other department related duties as assigned Collects medical waste and pharmaceutical waste Qualifications: Required: Ability to read and write Preferred: Previous experience working in a healthcare Housekeeping Department
