Housekeeping Assistant ( Irish Residency Required)

The Pilgrims Rest Nursing Home is a 33 bed Elderly care facility on the outskirts of Westport Co Mayo;
The successful applicant will work as part of the team at the Pilgrims Rest to implement the Cleaning and hygiene needs necessary for the care and welfare of 33 Residents, under the supervision of, and reporting to the person in charge or deputy. The housekeeper is well supported in this team with clear policies and guidelines pertaining to their role. Ongoing training pertinent to the role is available in house.
Working time; Hours of work 08.00 to 6 pm. 2 days a week over 7 day roster.
Knowledge Required: Candidates must have a clear understanding of the specific needs of hygiene in health care settings and be willing and able to up skill as the job requires.
Skills Required Excellent communication skills, organisational skills, ability to use initiative, work unsupervised, fluency in English, essential, written and spoken.
Current certificate in moving and handling/ Training provided if needed
Attitude required Candidates must be flexible and available to work allocated or additional hours if required ,Willingness to learn new knowledge and skills relevant to the job through; Online, in house training and supervision.
