JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The Housekeeping Staff is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of guest rooms, public areas, and other facilities within the hotel. This role ensures a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene, contributing to the overall guest experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in janitorial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred.
  • Experience in a hotel environment is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests.
  • Basic cooking skills are desirable to assist with meal preparation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities
  • Room Cleaning:
  • Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including bathrooms, bedrooms, and living areas.
  • Change bed linens and towels, ensuring they are fresh and clean.
  • Dust and polish furniture and fixtures.
  • Public Area Maintenance:
  • Maintain cleanliness in lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and other common areas.
  • Ensure that all public areas are well-stocked with necessary supplies (e.g., toiletries, paper products).
  • Inventory Management:
  • Monitor and report inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Assist in the ordering of supplies as needed.
  • Guest Interaction:
  • Respond to guest requests and inquiries in a courteous manner.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor.
  • Health and Safety Compliance:
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and protocols.
  • Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other housekeeping staff and departments to ensure efficient operations.
  • Participate in training and development sessions as required.
