What can you expect?
The Assistant Housekeeping Supervisor coordinates housekeeping functions at the Hotel and at times, in other Resort areas. This role ensures standards of quality assurance are met consistently. The Assistant Supervisor reports to the Supervisor and along to the Hotel Manager and Assistant Manager, and liaises frequently with all Hotel, Maintenance, and Operations teams, occasionally working with contractors and external service providers.

Performing all duties and responsibilities of a Housekeeping attendant, room checker, and houseperson, and alongside the Supervisor overseeing the work and actions of the Housekeeping team, maintaining high standards.
Assisting with training the Housekeeping team on standard operating procedures. Refining and adhering to standard housekeeping procedures, ensuring guests have a consistent and great first and last impression.
Developing and maintaining positive, respectful working relationships with team, and other departments.
Setting expectations early on, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, service, and health and safety.

Administrative and Reporting Responsibilities

  • Timely completion of documentation, e.g. training, inspections, quality assurance audits, budgets, checklists.
  • Coordinating work of external contractors, when required.
  • Conducting regular inventory, ensuring supplies are well-stocked.
  • Properly assigning work to meet business needs.
  • Assisting the Supervisor with support, coaching, feedback and corrective action, where necessary.
  • Engaging with recognition and incentive programs, and effective department communications.
  • Adhering to and ensuring staff follow company standards, e.g. Employee Handbook, Grooming Policy.
  • Timely and accurate reporting of incidents, deficiencies, and unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.

Other duties may be requested and assigned from time to time.
