We are looking for a Housekeeping Associates to join our team at the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott West Kelowna

Summary of Responsibilities: Reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisor, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Clean all assigned guestrooms including: dusting, making beds, removal of linens from rooms, and retrieval of clean linen from linen closets, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning, inside window cleaning, replenish rooms with supplies
  • Maintain proper usage of cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Update and record all cleaned rooms
  • Return and properly tag all lost and found articles in the Housekeeping Office
  • Follow departmental policies and procedures and service standards, especially Worksafe BC policies regarding COVID-19.
  • Report necessary maintenance items
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies
  • Sort all linens and treat stains
  • Load all laundry into washer and add specified cleaning agents
  • Take wet, clean items and dry as directed
  • Sort and fold or hang clean dried items
  • Maintain inventory of all cleaning supplies and communicate needs to Housekeeping supervisor.
  • Maintaining all laundry equipment and inform facilities manager as to any maintenance needs
  • Perform additional laundry services when necessary
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Minimum one year Housekeeping experience is required.
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Ability to work weekends and week days an asset
