Overview Under general direction from the Operations Manager the South Okanagan Events Centre (SOEC) Housekeeping Supervisor leads and coordinates Housekeeping services at the South Okanagan Events Centre (SOEC) Complex. This role pays an hourly rate of $20.19-$25.00 CAD Benefits for Full-Time roles: Health, Dental and Vision Insurance, Pension matching, and Paid Time Off (vacation days, sick days, and statutory holidays). This position will remain open until May 1, 2026. Responsibilities Lead and supervise crew of 10-15 Housekeepers during and post events Be an integral part of daily and event housekeeping services from pre-event preparation to post event wrap ups Operate tools and equipment related to venue housekeeping Work cooperatively with Sr. Operations Manager and Operations Manager Receive and maintain supplies Conduct inventories of equipment Maintain clean and organized work areas Establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with those contacted in the course of work: staff, contractors, facility users… Work a flexible schedule including early mornings, days, evenings, overnight, weekends, holidays, extended (long) work days and extended number of days Perform other duties assigned which influence the success of the company and directly relate to the responsibilities of the job Qualifications Requires a minimum of 2-4 years related experience Working experience in an arena, convention centre or stadium an asset Working knowledge of custodial equipment WHMIS training strongly preferred Experience with any or all of: Sky Jack, Fork Lift, Boom Lift and Fall Arrest is an asset Ability to deal with contractors and fellow employees in a courteous and tactful manner Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated commitment to safety, teamwork and co-operation Ability to work effectively in a service oriented environment subject to frequently changing priorities Able to handle high-paced event environment and must have good multi-tasking skills Demonstrated ability to work from verbal and written instructions Physical ability to work in either an inside or outside environment, operate equipment and perform work functions as required Exhibit a professional appearance and comply with all uniform requirements Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance and punctuality Ability to work overtime as required Strengthened by our Differences.
