Position Summary The Director of Housekeeping Services works to ensure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner. Posted Salary Range USD $19.00 - USD $21.00 /Hr. Wage Commensuration The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Duties & Responsibilities Plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates, and directs the House-keeping Department, its programs and activities within budget and on schedule Coordinates housekeeping services and activities with other related departments Assists the housekeeping staff in the development and use of departmental policies, procedures, equipment, supplies, etc. Determines departmental staffing requirements necessary to meet the housekeeping department’s needs and assigns a sufficient number of housekeeping personnel for each shift Evaluates safe work practices and supervises safety, fire protection, and prevention programs by inspecting work areas and equipment at least weekly Qualifications & Requirements Must have at minimum a High School Diploma or equivalent G.E.D; college credits preferred Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital or other related medical facility. Must have training in environmental control practices and procedures; certification is preferred.
