    Southern Utah Veterans Home in Ivins, Utah is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Housekeeper to join our outstanding team!   $15.50 - $17.50 /hr  Part Time opening!   The Housekeeping position at the Southern Utah Veterans Home is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. This role ensures that all assigned areas are cleaned and maintained according to established standards and protocols. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and polishing floors and surfaces. * Clean and sanitize resident rooms, common areas, restrooms, and other facility spaces. * Dispose of trash and waste materials in a timely and sanitary manner. * Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper in designated areas. * Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damages observed during cleaning duties. * Follow all safety and infection control procedures to maintain a healthy environment. * Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned by the supervisor. * Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of residents at all times. QUALIFICATIONS * High school diploma or equivalent preferred. * Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience is a plus. * Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team. * Good physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift moderate weights. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety. * Effective communication skills. * Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays if needed. WORK ENVIRONMENT This position involves working indoors in a healthcare facility environment. The role requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be used as required.
