Responsibilities:

• Report to the Director of Housekeeping
• Maintain and clean all public areas, washrooms, elevators etc.
• Clean the exit stairs, garage, garbage area, staff room and locker area
• Remove all garbage from public areas and offices, dust and vacuum and shampoo carpets
• Clean and restock linen rooms
• Move furniture and services the fitness and massage rooms
• Receive hotel deliveries and store them
• Collect items to be laundered
• Strip guest rooms when needed
• Other as per manager requests
• Reports to requests from guests, supervisors or management in a friendly and timely and efficient manner and ensures satisfactory follow up.
• Store all supplies and equipment and maintains linen storage and supplies neat and organized to department standards.
• Maintains security of equipment, keys and supplies issued each day.
• Required to work in a fast paced, stressful environment. Required to work weekends and holidays.
• Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dress
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Very good command of the English language, secondary language a benefit
• Positive attitude, motivated, team player, well organized, efficient, informative.
• Requires strong physical condition as work is of a demanding nature
• Experience in 4- or 5-star hotels a strong asset
• WHMIS training an asset but not required
• First Aid training an asset but not required
• Must be available to work in Canada
