Description This internship begins in May and ends in August. We are looking to invite undergrad level individuals to our team for the summer to enhance learning and provide real world experience within their chosen field! We strive to provide practical work experience to hospitality students while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. Primary Focus - Training Hotel and departmental orientations Train on Forbes standards Train on the following Housekeeping roles: Room Attendant House person Laundry Minibar Public Space Attendant Turndown Room Inspector Skills focused on: Learning the position details of the all Housekeeping roles Learning the HotSOS system Understanding all Housekeeping components Participate in daily pre-shift meetings Attend hotel trainings, if applicable Primary Focus - Shadowing Housekeeping Management Both AM/PM Shifts Skills focused on: Scheduling (management vs. hourly) Management skills Building housekeeping Boards Handling guest complaints Participate in daily pre-shift meetings Attend 9:00 AM management stand up with assigned manager Complete special project as assigned

Responsibilities

The Housekeeping Intern will undergo training in various housekeeping roles and shadow management during both AM and PM shifts. The intern will participate in daily meetings and complete special projects as assigned.
