Description Supervises work activities of cleaning personnel to ensure clean, orderly, attractive rooms in the skilled nursing facilities. Maintains the cleanliness of the facility for residents, visitors and staff. Note: All employees of Cascadia Healthcare are required to submit and be cleared to work in the facility per each state’s specific background check requirements prior to contact with patients/residents. Essential Functions Manages team of housekeeping employees. Ensures overall cleanliness and comfort level of facility. Assigns workers their duties, and evaluates work to ensure conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness. Schedules housekeeping employees based on facility census and other operating constraints. Provides orientation, trains, evaluates of housekeeping employees. Inventories stock to ensure adequate supplies and reports any ordering needs to Central Supply. Issues supplies and equipment to workers. Inspects and evaluates physical condition of establishment, and submits recommendations for painting, repairs, and furnishings to management. Investigates complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment, and takes corrective action. Manages punctuality and regular attendance for all scheduled housekeeping shifts.. Other Functions Performs other tasks as assigned. Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, its policies and procedures, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Ability to read and write at a level appropriate for the job. Ability to communicate effectively with residents, co-workers, family members and facility staff. Knowledge of infection control techniques. Ability to be patient and polite. Requirements Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Licenses/Certification Valid driver’s license required. Experience Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
