JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in housekeeping management.
  • At least 2+ years’ experience in luxury hospitality or guest services.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Applicants should be excellent leaders, detail-oriented, and demonstrate commitment to guest service.
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Computer skills, preferably Opera PMS experience.
  • Requires walking 90 - 95 % of workday.
  • Ability to walk, talk, see, hear, climb, sit, lift, reach, bend, stoop, crouch, stand and walk continuously, climb stairs, and push or pull heavy equipment.
  • Pulling and/or pushing up to 50 pounds and frequent lifting of up to 15lbs.
Responsibilities

ROLE

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Manager to lead our housekeeping and valet team. This role is responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests throughout their stay. The Housekeeping Manager will oversee daily operations, maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation, and ensure all team members adhere to established policies and procedures.
This position has an annual compensation salary of $82,000.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitors all the daily operations of the housekeeping department, including the cleanliness of all guest rooms and public areas daily.
  • Leads, hires, and trains hotel housekeeping staff to adhere to our high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee the housekeeping department budget, take inventory, and ensure there is a stock of adequate cleaning supplies.
  • Documents areas cleaned by room attendants and report any issues such as room damage or maintenance requests to the front office.
  • Communicate with guests and colleagues both verbally and in writing to answer questions and provide clear direction in advising and instructing staff in details of work.
  • Effectively handle and respond to guest relation opportunities.
  • Report maintenance issues throughout the hotel, ensuring appropriate follow-up with guests when necessary.
  • Assist supervisors and line staff in securing all supplies and tools necessary for the completion of their jobs.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment is in proper working condition and make arrangements for repairs as needed.
  • Respond to guest questions and offer assistance and information as requested.
