We are currently seeking a seasoned and motivated Housekeeping Manager to lead the housekeeping function as part of our pre-opening leadership team.

This is a pre-opening opportunity to recruit and build your own team, establish the standards, and create a strong, positive workplace culture from the ground up. As the Housekeeping Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation across all guest rooms and public areas. You’ll play a hands-on role in:

  • Recruiting, training, and managing a large housekeeping team
  • Setting up operational procedures, service standards, and room presentation guidelines
  • Establishing rosters, inventory control, and departmental budgets
  • Working closely with front office, maintenance, and other departments to deliver a seamless guest experience
  • Driving performance, accountability, and pride across your team
  • Ensuring strict compliance with health, safety, and hygiene protocols

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Significant experience leading a large housekeeping team in a 4-star or 5-star hotel (essential)
  • Strong people leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • A proactive, hands-on leader who leads by example
  • Experience with pre-opening operations is advantageous
  • Must have current working rights in New Zealand – no sponsorship available
