Principle Purpose of Job The Housekeeping Manager promotes DTR service standards, serving as a role model for Housekeeping staff as well as maintaining the integrity of the Ranch and Housekeeping operations, policies and standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · Oversee and manage the Housekeeping Department for Guest Rooms and Common Areas at Devil’s Thumb Ranch. · Responsible for the training, scheduling, supervising, rewarding, motivating and counseling of housekeeping staff according to DTR standards. · Define and implement cleaning standards and schedules. · Perform in the capacity of any of the positions he/she supervises on an as needed basis. · Track and maintain labor expenditure and productivity within budget guidelines. · Resolve guest and employee complaints promptly. · Responsible for weekly schedule of staff. · Ensure flow of communication within and between departments. · Maintain supply of materials, equipment needed for housekeeping. · Designate and maintain relationships with vendors. · Report any incident which appears suspicious or could endanger the security of the Resort. · Ensure payroll is completed in an accurate and timely manner. · Benchmark best practices of other competitors. · Continually create, develop & enhance policies/procedures/processes in housekeeping department. Requirements · Three years housekeeping supervisory experience preferred, high school diploma required. · Valid Driver's License & clean driving record required. · Property management software experience preferred. · Must be computer literate and able to learn new systems when needed. · Microsoft office software experience required. · Experience serving as a positive role model by behaving in a professional manner and by adhering to all policies and procedures. · Must be physically able to perform the same job duties as each of staff members. Compensation Description: $65,000 - $75,000/year Competitive pay commensurate with education and experience.
