TEAM MEMBER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of comprehensive departmental brand standard operating processes, policies and procedures
  • Perform daily walks of all areas of responsibility throughout the property and meticulous attention to detail are implemented and experienced by both guests and team members.
  • Ensure all housekeeping team members are in compliance at all times with the image requirements and are well presented.
  • Recruit, interview and train new housekeeping team members and work with local partnerships for potential housekeeping candidates
  • Assure effective operation of the Laundry and/ or outsourcing of laundry operation. Assist the department when needed.
  • Schedule detailed cleaning and preventive maintenance programs relating to housekeeping to ensure a timeless appearance and life of all furniture, fixtures and equipment throughout the property.
  • Assure the financial goals of the department are being met. Monitor and control labor expense and other departmental expenses such as uniforms, linen, amenities, supplies and contract services.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records such as linen, uniform and amenity supply inventories, inventory par stocks, discard reports, movement of inventory stock items, tools and the distribution of products.
  • Maintain and expand a positive working relationship with existing and new vendor relationships.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a Housekeeping Manager role.
  • Demonstrates energetic, self-motivating and a “can do” positive attitude.
  • Projects a professional and polished image that inspires confidence and trust.
  • Is team-oriented and works collaboratively to achieve team goals.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Able to always manage multiple tasks and have excellent organizational skills. .
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Dedicated to exceeding quality standards and providing products and services of the highest caliber.
  • Self-motivated; thrives on doing a job well; possesses the independence, initiative, and desire to achieve.
  • Command of the English language both written and verbal.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Able to push/pull up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Sits, stands, bends, stretches, lifts items and moves intermittently during working hours.
  • Able to work with chemicals.
