Requirements REPONSIBILITIES Essential Functions Restrooms: Clean and sanitize toilets, urinals and sinks. Fill toilet paper and paper towel receptacles. Clean mirrors and partitions, empty trash and sweep/mop floors. Unclog sinks and toilets as needed. Classrooms: Empty and remove trash, sweep and mop floors, dust cob webs. Meeting rooms: Empty and remove trash, sweep/mop or vacuum floors, dust cob webs, wipe down tables and other surfaces. Hallways: Vacuum floors, dust cobwebs and wall hangings. Break rooms: Empty and remove trash, sweep and mop floors, wipe down tables and other surfaces, dust cob webs. Offices: Vacuum and dust cob webs as needed. Lobbies: Vacuum daily and remove cobwebs. Clean entrance windows and ledges, empty and remove trash, mop entrance. Use floor scrubber in designated areas. Respond to emergencies in classrooms and throughout the building. Clean baseboards and walls (finger prints) as needed. Remove trash from building to outside dumpster. Clean refrigerator and microwaves in break room monthly or as needed. Wash housekeeping laundry. Monitors inventory of housekeeping supplies and paper products and assists in ensuring that needed items are ordered according to the established schedule. Effectively communicate concerns, issues, maintenance and housekeeping needs to supervisor on a regular basis. Complete administrative paperwork in a timely manner including time adjustment sheets, PTO requests, maintenance requests, etc. Supports other housing keeping staff members. Welcomes families, residential providers, volunteers, and other visitors in the facility. Work cooperatively with others to ensure the building is secured each evening. General Responsibilities Responsible for the health and safety of individuals served. Expected to serve as role model for individuals. Expected to serve as an advocate and to protect the human rights of individuals served. Expected to participate in training as required by your supervisor or for all LOGAN staff. Expected to demonstrate good judgement. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. QUALIFICATIONS Education High school diploma or equivalent Experience One year of housekeeping experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities A positive attitude to support individuals and staff throughout the building. Skilled in the safe operation of basic housekeeping equipment and cleaning supplies. Ability to be self motivated and diligent in the execution of responsibilities. Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing as needed. Ability to lift/transfer up to 50 pounds. Must comply with all LOGAN training requirements and certifications.
