Responsibilities

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The role of the Housekeeping Manager is to successfully oversee the entire housekeeping operation and team on a daily basis, looking after all public areas of Retreat East and to provide the highest level of care and service to all residents, internal employees and clients in line with the agreed service level and procedures.

JOB ROLE:

  • Manage, motivate, and develop individuals within the team to enable them to meet current and future team and Resident needs.
  • To provide a high standard of cleaning across Retreat East, by maintaining an efficient, cost effective and hygienic working environment.
  • Attention to detail is a pre requisite of this role - We pride ourselves on the cleanliness of the site.
  • Provide day to day direction and support to the housekeeping team, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
  • To anticipate any resident’s needs, follow up and ensure that the resident expectations are met and where possible exceeded.
  • Recruitment, induction and training of housekeepers.
  • To maintain appropriate cleaning and consumables stocks, products, tools and equipment for your team.
  • Any other reasonable tasks asked to be performed by the management according to the changing business needs.
  • Participates in daily and departmental meetings and continually communicates a clear and consistent message regarding the front of house goals to produce desired results.
  • Ensuring that all training and competency records for each team member are completed.
  • Computer literate, with good knowledge in Excel and rota systems.
    You will need your own transport to reach our rural location.
