Courtyard Prince George is recruiting for a Room Attendant to join our team! This is responsible for the cleanliness of all guest rooms and public areas of the hotel. If you are enthusiastic, guest focused and have a passion for cleaning, this could be your opportunity to be part of the Courtyard team!

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous cleaning experience is an asset
  • Proven cleaning ability with an attention to detail
  • Approachable, pleasant, polite, fast
  • Able to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Self-starter and able to work with minimum supervision
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including the ability to lift, push and pull up to 50lbs, standing/walking for extended periods of time, ability to stoop, kneel and reach and perform repetitive motions
  • Must be able to understand both oral and written English
    Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
    Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Clean guest rooms and replenish amenities and linen
  • Making beds, wiping windows and dusting shelves, furniture and artwork
  • Clean bathrooms, including the bathtub, walls, mirror, shelves, floors, and sink
  • Remove garbage, clean garbage cans and remove dirty linens
  • Conducts daily inspections of guest rooms and reports and deficiencies to Executive Housekeeper or Maintenance
  • Commitment to work safely and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards
  • Regular sanitizing of all public areas including lobby, gym, pool, elevators and hallways
  • Follow all safety and security procedures and regulations while performing daily duties
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service, greeting guests and taking care of requests when needed
  • Dust public areas and wipe windows
  • Clean public bathrooms, including walls, mirror, shelves, floors, and sink
  • Empty and clean all the trash and recycling cans
  • Vacuum and mop public areas
  • Washing walls and windows
  • Restocking appropriate supplies
  • Follow daily checklist provided by Executive Housekeeper
  • Must be fully prepared for emergency procedures (i.e. use of fire extinguishers, fire alarms & other safety requirements, including providing emergency medical assistance)
  • Ensures the security of the property, staff and guests when completing tasks
  • Additional duties as assigned by Executive Housekeeper, Housekeeping Supervisor(s) or other Management
