The Hilton Garden Inn and Homewood Suites by Hilton Ottawa Downtown, is conveniently situated in downtown Ottawa, steps from Parliament Hill with light rail transit at the hotel’s front door for easy access to many points of interest including festival venues. The hotel features 171 extended-stay guest rooms under the Homewood Suites by Hilton banner and 175 units providing short-stay accommodations under the Hilton Garden Inn banner and a total of 4,500 square feet of conference space, which includes our Tulip restaurant and bar, a pool and fitness facility.

We are currently seeking a part-time Housekeeping Room Attendants to join our team through our management partnership with JDI Building Services.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Available mornings/evenings/nights/weekends
  • Capable to work in dusty, damp, and dirty areas
  • Capable of working alone or in a team
  • Capable of moving and walking continuously during work hours
  • Capable of completing repetitive tasks
  • Capable of lifting (25 – 30 kg)
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage time well
    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: $21.30-$21.55 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to a positive and safe guest experience by adhering to our brand standards level of cleanliness
  • Clean hotel guestrooms and suites (including but not limited to changing bed and bathroom linens, vacuuming and mopping of floors, dusting furniture, removing smudges from surfaces, sanitizing room and bathrooms, emptying garbage and recycling, running dishwasher, etc…)
  • Ensure compliance with standard room set-up
  • Clean and sanitize public areas of hotel
  • Communicate room status’ to Front Office and Housekeeping Department
  • Communicate any damage or missing items found in rooms to immediate supervisor
  • Prioritize workload in accordance with guest demands
  • Ensure “lost and found” items are turned in immediately as per hotel protocol
  • Empty and clean the garbage and recycling from public areas
  • Maintain an organized workspace
  • Assist with any additional cleaning tasks that may be assigned
