EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Previous cleaning experience desired
  • Must be able to speak and understand the primary language(s) used by guests

Responsibilities
  • Clean rooms, in accordance with company procedures (approx. 25 minutes per room) while maintaining company efficiency and quality standards
  • Change bed linen daily
  • Vacuum carpeting and maintain vacuums, change bag filters as required
  • Dust all furniture (picture frames, bed frames, lamps, TVs, and dressers)
  • Remove fingerprints and smudges (mirrors, shiny surfaces, windows, etc.)
  • Thoroughly clean the bathroom area – wash shower/tub, sink, toilet, etc.
  • Make sure that the standard room set up is complied with
  • Maintain cleanliness of hallways and other common areas
  • Keep your working area clean and organized
  • Maintain Guest safety and security at all times
  • Ensure that assigned or special requests are completed and communicated to the Front Desk
  • Maintain knowledge of WHMIS procedures as they relate to room attendants
  • Maintain knowledge of Fire Safety procedures as they relate to housekeeping
  • Report immediately all damage found in a room
  • Report immediately all missing items in a room
  • Report immediately personal guest items found in vacant rooms and log into lost and found as per company policy
  • Stock housekeeping carts and storage rooms daily ensuring they are kept neat and orderly
  • Report maintenance issues as per company procedures
  • Take responsibility for assigned pass key and make sure it is turned in daily
  • Report immediately to the front desk if room status changes (no luggage, no service needed, sleep outs, extra guests, and anything unusual)
  • Shut off all lights, TVs, and air conditioners when leaving room
  • Ensure all assigned or requested jobs are completed and noted on the daily housekeeping assignment paper
  • Must be available 8:30 - 4:30 Mon - Fri 9-5 Sat, Sun, Holidays
  • Most available hours will be on the weekends
