We are currently looking for a hardworking and motivated individual to join our housekeeping team. Hotel Housekeeping helps maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and general safety of the hotel. He or she works with a minimum of supervision to ensure all areas of the hotel are maintained in a sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition by performing various tasks using the necessary equipment and supplies, which includes cleaning all common areas (corridors, elevators, guest areas, service areas, restrooms, and linen closets, etc.) and assigned guests rooms. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of housekeeping/custodial experience that includes knowledge of basic cleaning supplies and equipment. He or she must have the physical ability to perform all aspects of this job (lifting, standing, bending, etc.), must be reliable and trustworthy, and must pay attention to detail and take pride in his or her work. This position is ideal for a mature individual and does include weekday, weekend and holiday hours. RESPONSIBILITIES: Cleans daily all assigned rooms, halls, and other areas Cleans and sanitizes restrooms/bathrooms using established practices and procedures Stocks and maintains linen closets and housekeeping carts Maintains inventory of supplies and coordinates reorders Refinishes hard surface floors and cleans carpeted areas as scheduled or needed Maintains clean, organized work areas and securely stores equipment and supplies Completes any reports or logs Reports equipment malfunctions, injuries, and accidents to the supervisor Responds to all guest and staff needs Attends required team meetings Performs other duties as assigned Requirements Qualifications: High school diploma or GED preferred Knowledge of commercial cleaning methods and tools/products Safety and customer service oriented Able to follow spoken and written instructions Able to work without direct supervision Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed Able to work a flexible schedule, which may include working days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Responsibilities
The Housekeeping team is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the hotel. This includes cleaning assigned rooms and common areas, stocking supplies, and responding to guest needs.
