JOB DESCRIPTION Housekeeping Staff FLSA Classification: Non - Exempt Reports to: Director of Environmental Services Overview of the Position: The Housekeeping Staff provide the day-to-day housekeeping in the facility in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing the facility and to assure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner.  Essential duties include but are not limited to: -Clean and maintain public and common areas including lobbies, restroom and floors. -Ensure resident rooms and bathrooms are cleaned and sanitized regularly. -Wipe down handrails to keep them free of dust and debris. -Remove dirt, dust and food from walls mirrors windows, light fixtures, towel bars and dispensers. -Empty trash cans and replace liners as needed. -Sweep and mop floors throughout the facility. -Follow safety and infection control protocols, including using caution signage and storing chemicals securely. -Operate cleaning equipment and use supplies according to manufacturer instructions. -Keep housekeeping carts, equipment, and storage areas clean, organized and sanitary. -Report any resident safety concerns immediately to the Director of Housekeeping, Administrator or Director of Nursing. -Notify the Director of Housekeeping when supplies need replenishment. -Demonstrate excellent customer service and a positive attitude. -Manage time effectively and complete tasks efficiently. -Work independently or as part of a team to meet facility standards.
Responsibilities
Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of public areas and resident rooms in accordance with federal and state regulations. Ensure safety and infection control protocols are followed while managing cleaning supplies and equipment.
