Job Description
As Housekeeping Supervisor at Novotel Cairns Oasis Resort, you’ll take on a key leadership role, supporting the Executive Housekeeper to ensure guest rooms and public areas consistently exceed Accor’s high standards. With a focus on operational excellence, team support, and continuous improvement, you’ll help deliver an exceptional guest experience while fostering a motivated, high-performing team.
Your attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and ability to lead by example will be essential to maintaining quality and efficiency across all housekeeping operations.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We’re seeking a confident, hands-on leader who motivates through example, trains with intent, and thrives on delivering efficient, high-quality results. Your strong attention to detail and passion for maintaining high standards will ensure every room meets guest expectations and reflects our commitment to excellence.

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in housekeeping, ideally in a hotel or resort environment
  • Strong focus on detail, quality, and guest satisfaction
  • Effective communicator with the ability to support, guide, and motivate team members
  • Flexible availability to work a rotating roster, including early mornings, weekends, and public holidays
  • Familiarity with hotel systems such as Opera is a plus, though not essential - full training will be provided

Additional Information

Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily room and public area inspections to ensure standards are met and rooms are released on time
  • Lead and support team members during shifts, providing clear direction and hands-on guidance
  • Oversee onboarding and training of new staff to maintain consistency and service quality
  • Manage cleaning materials and equipment to ensure efficient, effective use
  • Assist in preparing staff rosters to maintain cost-effective coverage
  • Support recruitment efforts and actively coach and develop team members
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity and streamline operations
  • Respond to guest feedback and help drive ongoing improvements in cleanliness and comfort
