The Castle Inn is a 16th century pub with 13 guest bedrooms in the beautiful village of Lydford. We are seeking a Housekeeper Supervisor who will lead a small team with responsibility for the day to day running of the housekeeping department, reporting directly to the Management team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering bedrooms and public areas to the standards expected in guest cleanliness, maintenance and overall presentation.
  • Managing and training staff including performance monitoring
  • Effective stock control
  • Management of health & safety files
  • Rota and holiday management
  • Active communication with all other departments

We are seeking a proactive and intuitive leader who can manage, motivate, and develop the team through effective communication, problem-solving and rapport building.
The role would suit someone with a strong Housekeeping background, who has proven leadership skills and a participative approach, delivering exceptional service levels through collaboration and team work.
As Housekeeping Supervisor, you will need to be responsive, able to adjust and adapt to new and changing work processes and requirements. You will be standards-orientated and genuinely passionate about service delivery and able to understand and respond effectively to customer and business demands.
Hours 7am - 2/3pm, 5 days per week to include weekends and holidays.
