The Arbors Assisted Living is currently hiring a Housekeeping Supervisor
Responsibilities:
Responsible for supervision of activities of housekeeping, porters and laundry personnel to ensure the Community is maintained in a clean, sanitary, attractive, and orderly condition; in compliance with applicable DOH, safety and fire regulations, and federal, state and local building codes.
Supervises:
Cleaning of laundry, lint, dust and dirt from dryers, vents and heat registers; cleaning of washers and maintains them in good working order. Checking of toilet seats and grab rails for security and proper functioning; checking of all safety call systems
Maintains appropriate housekeeping and porters staffing level by scheduling personnel, making out time sheets and work assignments, and adjusting work flow as required; grants time off and approves time cards and overtime; maintains current record of employee attendance and counsels employees with deficiencies in attendance.
Arranges and conducts on-the-job training for new employees; conducts periodic staff meetings. Conducts and arranges in-service training for staff. Sits on Safety committee and provides guidance. Distributes work orders to staff and collects from staff for distribution to maintenance. Follows up for work order completion.
Assists in planning and establishing lines of communication; motivates employees and resolves grievances; recommends promotions, demotions, and disciplinary actions for employees within the department after discussing with the Administrator.
Long term care experience is preferred
