JOB SUMMARY:
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of the housekeeping staff to ensure that guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. This role involves supervising staff, inspecting work, managing inventory, and addressing guest requests and complaints.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in hospitality management is a plus.
Proven experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or in a similar role in a hotel or hospitality setting.
Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, techniques, and equipment.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Ability to handle guest requests and complaints with professionalism and tact.
Ability to train, motivate, and supervise staff.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects for extended periods.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with hotel management software.
Certification in housekeeping management.
Bilingual language skills.

Supervise and coordinate the work of room attendants, housekeepers, and other housekeeping staff.
Assign daily tasks and work schedules to housekeeping staff, ensuring efficient and effective use of time.
Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met.
Train new housekeeping staff on proper cleaning procedures, safety guidelines, and hotel standards.
Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and support to housekeeping staff to improve performance and maintain high standards.
Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment; order and restock as needed.
Ensure the proper use and maintenance of cleaning equipment and report any maintenance issues.
Handle guest requests and complaints related to housekeeping services in a professional and timely manner.
Address and resolve any issues or conflicts among housekeeping staff.
Monitor staff performance and conduct performance evaluations.
Maintain accurate records of room status, work completed, and inventory.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and hotel policies.
Collaborate with other departments, such as front desk and maintenance, to ensure smooth hotel operations and guest satisfaction.
Assist the Executive Housekeeper with administrative tasks, such as scheduling and budgeting.
