PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience in housekeeping supervisor role, preferably in a healthcare or residential setting.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and stay organized in fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of performing physically demanding tasks, such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods of time.
  • General understanding of the use and misuse of chemicals and alcohol.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and build rapport with both staff and clients.
  • Possess knowledge of HIPAA.
  • Preferred candidates should be able to work well within a team and independently, effective communication skills, time management, ability to problem solve, and strong professional boundaries.
  • Preferred candidate must be sensitive to religious, ethnic, and cultural differences.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Current CPR & First Aid Certification or willing to obtain
  • Must successfully complete Background Check, Drug Screen, and TB Test

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to stand, walk for prolonged periods, and climb stairs.
  • Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Regularly bend, stoop, kneel, and reach to clean low and hard to reach areas.
  • Capable of performing repetitive tasks such as sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces, and vacuuming.

Responsibilities

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees and assists the housekeeping team to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for clients, staff, and visitors. The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for managing team schedules, assigning daily tasks, and monitoring and assisting performance to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise housekeeping team, including schedule, assigning daily tasks, and monitoring performance.
  • Inspect rooms and common areas daily to ensure cleanliness standards are being met.
  • Maintain, order, and replenish inventory as needed, keeping costs within budget.
  • Enforce health and safety standards and ensure all cleaning protocols support a safe environment.
  • Collaborate with other departments to minimize disruptions to clients’ daily routines.
  • Monitor and report necessary repairs and replacements.
  • Oversee and assist housekeeping team with cleaning, sanitation, and laundry services.
  • Respect and maintain the confidentiality of all client information in accordance with facility policy and HIPAA regulations.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings and trainings.
  • Other duties as assigned by Director of Operations to support overall housekeeping operations.
