PART-TIME HOUSEKEEPING AND OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR

Mt Quincan Crater Retreat is looking for a dedicated and versatile Part-Time Housekeeping and Operations Supervisor to join our team for a long term role. We’re a family-owned retreat in the beautiful Atherton Tablelands, offering guests a tranquil escape and a stunning wedding venue.
This is a hands-on, part-time role for 25 hours per week. The shift days will vary depending on our bookings, and the role is perfect for someone looking for flexible hours that can generally fit within 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, similar to school hours. Some weekend shifts may be required.
About the Role

This is a multifaceted role where you’ll be an integral part of our small team. You’ll supervise a team of 3-6 staff but will also be expected to be hands-on with cleaning, particularly during quieter seasons. Your responsibilities will extend beyond housekeeping to include:

• Supervision: Lead and train the team to ensure all treehouses are cleaned and maintained to our high standards. You must be results-driven and ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to the required standard.
• Cleaning & Operations: Perform hands-on cleaning and stock replenishing duties in treehouses and public areas. You’ll also assist with the setup for our weddings.
• Inventory & Ordering: Manage and maintain inventory of all cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed.
• Food Preparation: Assist with food preparation tasks, including preparing guest hampers, items for our special events and ordering.

About You

• Proven experience in a housekeeping or cleaning role, preferably in a hospitality or events setting.
• A strong, results-driven work ethic.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• A positive attitude and a passion for providing excellent guest service.

Required:

• Drivers license
• Food Handling Certificate (or be willing to obtain before commencement of position)
• First Aide & CPR (or be willing to obtain before commencement of position)
• Highly Desirable:
• RSA certificate is highly desirable.
