We are currently seeking a full time Housekeeping Supervisor to join our Housekeeping team. The duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following;

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a minimum of 2-3 years Room Attendant experience
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must have the ability to speak English clearly, distinctly and cordially with guests and employees
  • Must have the ability to read and write English
  • Must have organizational and problem solving skills
  • Must be computer literate with MS office applications
  • Must be self-motivated and detail oriented
  • Must be flexible with shift availability
  • Knowledge and experience of GXP and IVR an asset
Responsibilities

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inspect assigned areas in order to provide feedback to management and employees on the cleanliness and maintenance of those areas against standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES AS FOLLOWS:

  • Inspect guest rooms, guest areas and employee areas and assess compliance with all established standards as they relate to cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and security. Report, as directed, any observed deviations to established standards. Ensure completion of assigned shift work to department staff
  • Supervise the performance of room attendants and general cleaning and take appropriate action to correct deficient conditions, behavior, and work practices.
  • Produce schedules for employees in accordance with staffing guides/productivity requirements. Review and adjust staffing daily to ensure optimum staffing levels. Review assignments of employees and make adjustments.
  • Ordering supplies
  • Assigning Rooms on daily and/or as needed basis
  • Ensure smooth functioning of Laundry
  • Conduct guest room inspections
  • Train associates on ABC’s of Housekeeping and conduct Process audits of ABC cleaning
  • Monitoring and running reports from GXP and IVR
  • Prepare daily accounting reports
  • Communicate throughout the day with Front Office and other departments to ensure total guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor consumption and order replacement of guest and cleaning supplies.
  • Monitor and ensure the safety of the housekeeping associates. Training the associates on safety tips and ensure they are aware of the property, brand, and legal requirements.
  • Being fully aware of the Brand Standard Audit and being able to train the housekeeping associates on the standard procedure as well as monitoring their performance and assist the Housekeeping Manager and Assistant Manager with coaching the associates.
  • Other duties as may be assigned by the Assistant Housekeeping Manager, Rooms Division Manager, Director of Rooms Division and/or General Manager
