Courtyard Prince George is recruiting for a Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team! The Housekeeping Supervisor will assist the Executive Housekeeper in daily operations of the Housekeeping Department on a relief basis and ensure that our brand cleanliness standards are adhered to. This role is also responsible for the cleanliness of guest rooms and public areas of the hotel when required. If you are detail-oriented, guest focused and have a passion for cleaning, this could be your opportunity to be part of the Courtyard team!

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent team building skills
  • Previous cleaning experience in hospitality is an asset
  • Proven cleaning ability with an attention to detail
  • Approachable, pleasant, polite, fast
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including the ability to lift, push and pull up to 50lbs, standing/walking for extended periods of time, ability to stoop, kneel and reach and perform repetitive motions
  • Must be able to understand both oral and written English

Experience:

  • Supervising/Managing: 1 year (preferred)

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Issues daily work assignments and any additional cleanliness tasks to Housekeeping team
  • Checks the overall cleanliness and maintenance of all guest rooms and public areas
  • Conduct room inspections and advise Room Attendants of any cleanliness issues, and any deficiencies to Executive Housekeeper or Maintenance
  • Clean guest rooms and public areas when needed such as: Making beds, wiping windows and dusting shelves, furniture and artwork. Clean bathrooms, including the bathtub, walls, mirror, shelves, floors, and sink. Remove garbage, clean garbage cans and remove dirty linens. Vacuum and mopping.
  • Commitment to work safely and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards
  • Complete daily checklist
  • Additional duties as assigned by Executive Housekeeper or other Management

* THIS ROLE IS A TEMPORARY FOR 18 MONTHS
