POSITION OVERVIEW

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall appearance of the gym’s facilities to ensure an exceptional luxury experience for members. This role involves supervising the housekeeping team, managing daily operations, and upholding the brand’s high standards in service and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Team Leadership & Supervision:
  • Supervise and lead the housekeeping staff to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
  • Conduct daily team briefings to communicate priorities, tasks, and performance goals.
  • Train new team members on cleaning protocols, luxury service standards, and safety guidelines.
  • Operations Management:
  • Plan and assign daily cleaning tasks, ensuring all areas (locker rooms, studios, gym floors, lounges, and spa facilities) are spotless and well-maintained.
  • Inspect facilities regularly to ensure cleanliness, proper functioning of equipment, and adherence to luxury standards.
  • Manage housekeeping schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Conduct routine inspections of the gym’s spaces to ensure a consistently high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Respond promptly to member feedback or complaints about cleanliness and take corrective action where necessary.
  • Ensure all cleaning products and equipment meet luxury and environmental standards.
  • Inventory & Budget Management
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels of cleaning supplies, toiletries, and other housekeeping materials.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of high-quality products.
  • Ensure cost-effective use of supplies without compromising quality.
  • Collaboration and Communication
  • Liaise with other departments, such as maintenance and front-of-house, to address cleaning or facility issues promptly.
  • Respond swiftly to member and guest feedback regarding cleanliness and resolve issues effectively.
  • Health and Safety Compliance
  • Enforce and uphold safety standards for both team members and gym users.
  • Conduct regular training on safe handling of cleaning chemicals and proper use of equipment.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
  • Provide a friendly, courteous and professional service at all times.
  • To comply with local legislation and be conversant and act in accordance with any such matters relating to your department.
  • Respond to any changes in the department as dictated by the needs of the industry, company.
  • To be flexible and extend job duties to carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the job capability as assigned, including redeployment to alternative departments/areas if required, to meet business demands and guest service needs.
