Position Summary The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the housekeeping department to maintain a clean, sanitary, and comfortable living environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This role combines hands-on cleaning duties with leadership responsibilities, ensuring that all housekeeping tasks meet quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Supervise and support housekeeping staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations. Ensure all resident rooms, common areas, and facility spaces are cleaned and maintained according to health and safety standards. Inspect rooms and common areas regularly for cleanliness and maintenance needs. Order and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment. Collaborate with maintenance and nursing departments to address facility needs promptly. Promote infection control and safety protocols in all housekeeping practices. Provide compassionate and respectful service to residents, families, and team members. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in hospitality or environmental services preferred. 2+ years of housekeeping experience, including 1+ year in a supervisory role (senior living or healthcare setting preferred). Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to lead by example, motivate team members, and foster a positive work environment. Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and infection control procedures.
