HOUSEKEEPING – PART-TIME

We are looking for positive, high-energy housekeeping staff who have a keen eye for detail, are committed to maintaining an environment and workplace that is neat and clean at all times, and will stop at nothing to go above and beyond everyday. Our housekeeping staff will be responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness of the Wellings of Stittsville building, amenity spaces, as well as individual apartments for residents on an appointment basis.

HOUSEKEEPING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work in a caring and considerate manner.
  • Must be able to perform in a high energy, positive and ever-changing work environment.
  • Perform duties in a polite and respectful manner to residents within the building.
  • Able to self-regulate, and perform in a team environment.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail over and above everyday duties.
  • Ability to do extensive standing, walking, squatting, kneeling and moving of light objects.
  • Must demonstrate high standards of ethics and personal accountability.
  • Deliver excellence in customer service and satisfaction.
  • Must be able to follow oral and written directions.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience in housekeeping and customer service an asset.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment throughout the building.
  • Work as a member of a team with all other personnel.
  • Perform daily cleaning duties in dining room, atrium spaces, front entrance, public washrooms etc. – dusting, mopping, vacuuming, glass cleaning, emptying waste receptacles.
  • Daily checks of elevators, hallways and stairwells throughout the building and clean as necessary and according to schedule.
  • Daily maintenance of garbage rooms, assisting Maintenance Manager as necessary.
  • Maintain weekly, rotational cleaning schedule as required.
  • Meet with residents as requested to discuss and assess individual housekeeping expectations and requirements.
  • Honour all appointments on time, perform all duties as agreed upon with attention to detail, and act in a professional and courteous manner in their home.
  • Clean guest apartments as needed and prepare for incoming guests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
