Come on in and check them out! Job Description As a Houseman, you will play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and presentation across our hotel’s public areas. You’ll be the backbone of our operations—ensuring every guest experiences a spotless, safe, and welcoming environment. This hands-on position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, thrives in a fast-paced setting, and enjoys being part of a collaborative team. Key Responsibilities: Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of all public areas, including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, and function spaces. Support the housekeeping team with tasks such as heavy lifting, moving furniture, delivering supplies, and restocking linen. Collect and properly dispose of waste and recyclables throughout the hotel. Assist with minor maintenance duties and promptly report any repairs or issues to the engineering team. Provide friendly, efficient, and professional assistance to guests whenever needed, upholding the hotel’s service standards. About You: Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. A reliable and motivated team player with a proactive and positive attitude. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and order. Professional presentation and good communication skills. Holds the legal right to work in Australia. Qualifications Previous experience in housekeeping, cleaning, or a similar hospitality role (preferred but not essential). Basic knowledge of maintenance or hotel operations will be an advantage.
