POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Houseperson to join our hotel team. The Houseperson plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of our property, ensuring a welcoming environment for our guests. This position involves working collaboratively with housekeeping and other departments to provide exceptional service and support.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all public areas, including lobbies, hallways, and restrooms.
• Assist room attendants with heavy lifting and moving furniture as needed.
• Stock and organize cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure efficient operations.
• Respond promptly to guest requests for amenities or assistance.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor for immediate action.
• Empty trash and recycling bins and ensure proper disposal procedures are followed.
• Set up and break down meeting rooms and banquet facilities according to hotel standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and equipment safely.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills to assist guests and collaborate with team members.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to hotel procedures.
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.

Work Schedule

• Full-time position with varying shifts based on hotel occupancy and event schedules.
• Availability for flexible hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Overtime may be required during peak seasons or special events.
• Specific schedule details will be provided upon hire and may be adjusted with advance notice.
