About the Role Clean, welcoming shared spaces set the tone for the entire guest experience—and you’re at the heart of it. As a Houseperson at the Newberry, you’ll support our housekeeping and maintenance teams by keeping public areas spotless, assisting with linen delivery, and ensuring our housekeepers and guests always have what they need. Whether stocking supplies or answering a guest request, your pride in detail helps create the polished, inviting environment that defines a luxury stay. Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness of public and service areas, including hallways, elevators, stairways, and lobbies Restock housekeeping closets and support linen distribution throughout the hotel Assist housekeepers by delivering supplies, removing soiled linens, and responding to guest service needs Complete deep cleaning or special projects as assigned by leadership Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or guest property found in public areas Respond to guest requests with urgency, professionalism, and warmth Maintain clear communication with housekeeping and front desk teams Follow Hilton and Newberry safety standards, policies, and cleanliness protocols You Bring A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and attention to detail Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and move for extended periods Comfort working independently and as part of a close-knit team Basic understanding of housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance operations Familiarity with safe handling of cleaning chemicals and housekeeping equipment Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience preferred, but not required A friendly, guest-focused, and team-oriented demeanor Pay & Perks $20.00-21.00/hour + tips Hilton travel perks & discounts Optional daily pay Health, dental, vision & life insurance 401(k) with match Paid time off Creative freedom, supportive team culture, and a chance to elevate your craft behind the bar Why Lead at The Newberry We’re not here for high-volume, cookie-cutter bartending.
