As a Housing Allocations Officer, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality housing allocation services to the residents of West Berkshire. Reporting to the Housing Allocations Team Leader, you will be responsible for:

• Processing housing applications and determining eligibility for social housing
• Conducting needs assessments and advising applicants on suitable housing options
• Managing and maintaining accurate records and databases
• Providing information and support to applicants, including conducting interviews
• Collaborating with landlords, housing providers, and other agencies to secure suitable accommodation
• Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and council policies
• Handling enquiries, complaints, and appeals in a professional manner
• In addition to the above responsibilities, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvement of service delivery and participate in relevant projects and initiatives.
