HOUSING IS A TOP PRIORITY FOR HACKNEY. THE COUNCIL IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE HOMES OF A SIGNIFICANT PROPORTION OF RESIDENTS LIVING IN THE BOROUGH, REPRESENTING APPROXIMATELY 23,000 TENANTED AND 9,000 LEASEHOLD PROPERTIES. THE CABINET RECENTLY APPROVED OUR HOUSING IMPROVEMENT PLAN, AIMING TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF THE HOMES WE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR AND THE SERVICES WE PROVIDE TO OUR RESIDENTS. UNDERPINNING ALL OF THIS IS OUR DATA AND WHAT IT CAN TELL US ABOUT OUR PERFORMANCE, PROPERTIES AND THE SUPPORT OUR RESIDENTS MAY NEED. FOLLOWING AN INTERNAL PROMOTION, WE ARE NOW LOOKING FOR A BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ANALYST TO WORK WITH TEAMS ACROSS HOUSING SERVICES TO DRIVE SERVICE EXCELLENCE.
Over the past year we have bedded in a new performance management dashboard and a key part of the role will be the ongoing liaison with service managers to understand performance trends, provide challenges, identify improvement priorities and develop / support the implementation of improvement action plans.
Working within the Housing Transformation team, you will be required to monitor data analysis across various teams, such as Building Maintenance, Tenancy Management, Homeownership, Property and Asset Management and Building Safety.
Beyond this, you will also be responsible for carrying out in-depth analysis of data on an ad-hoc basis to provide further insight on performance and drive improvement projects.
To excel in this position, you will have a track record of delivering high quality performance reports within tight deadlines, as well as experience of carrying out complex data analysis work, strong ICT skills / system knowledge and supporting service improvement. You will also have excellent communication skills, as a key aspect of this role will be the ability to build effective working relationships up to director level, challenge performance and communicate performance trends with people at all levels of the organisation.
A knowledge and understanding of benchmarking processes and practices is required, combined with experience of using programmes such as SQL, QlikSense, GIS – Mapinfo.
Experience in Housing is desirable but not essential.
