JOB SUMMARY

Defence Infrastructure Organisation Accommodation are recruiting for a Housing Estate Officer to join the team in North Region based in Kinloss. This role provides an outstanding opportunity to improve the experience of our families and help shape the future delivery of our services. As a team we are responsible for the provision of housing to meet the needs of our military customers. Please note we maintain a large geographic area covering the whole of the North of Scotland. However, this role primarily covers Elgin, Lossiemouth, Kinloss and Inverness. There may also be a requirement for travel between other Ministry of Defence locations throughout the region such as our Area office in Rosyth amongst others. Some overnight stays may also be required. A percentage of this role is dedicated towards the Assurance of our Industry Partner’s (IP) performance which includes both electronic and physical checks. In addition you will carry out computerised functions to progress tasks from conception to financial completion. Currently the North area has responsibility for circa 1150 housing assets. JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Assure the Future Defence Infrastructure Services (FDIS) contract for Service Family Accommodation (SFA) delivery
  • Engage in all aspects of FDIS Projects as required
  • Create, manage, progress and instruct all SFA Billable Works using various IT Systems – training is provided
  • Maintain Financial Trackers and Reporting tools
  • Maintain and improve Asset spreadsheets
  • Engage with a range of partners including Industry professionals, other MOD personnel, and Customers
  • Work collaboratively with all partners to achieve positive outcomes and results
  • Manage your area of responsibility to assist with the development of Additional Works Plan which helps improve the Estates
  • Assure Move-In and Move-Out activities, checking completed works or assessing works required in every room throughout the property
  • Undertake Regional Assurance activities
  • Undertake all mandatory training
  • Commit to Safety First in all areas of business

Where business needs allow, some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working. This is a non-contractual arrangement where all office-based employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in office, subject to capacity and any required workplace adjustments. Requirements to attend other locations for official business, or work in another MOD office, will also count towards this level of attendance. The post does not offer relocation expenses.
