Job Details Job Location: GA-ATH Athens Shelter - ATHENS, GA 30606 Position Type: Part Time with Benefits 20 or More Education Level: N/A Salary Range: $11.00 - $11.00 Hourly Job Shift: Evening Job Category: Housing This position is responsible for: Prepares client paperwork and record statistics; ensures that facility rules ae followed by clients; ensures compliance with The Salvation Army policies and procedures as well as local, state, and federal regulations. Monitors the activity of residents on an assigned shift ensuring safety, security and compliance to house rules; maintain accurate and complete records and logs containing pertinent information; ensures that the housing facility is maintained in a neat and proper order Key Responsibilities: Checks clients into the housing facility; prepares and monitors client intake cards; prepares resident roster and maintains resident property records. Monitors the activities of the resident's ensuring safety and compliance with house rules; checks the security of all windows and doors; monitors cameras and makes periodic rounds of entire facility; records any unique situations occurring on assigned shift. Responds to emergencies in a calm manner and initiates appropriate corrective actions in accordance with established policies and procedures. Completes required paperwork representing client intake for the day; inputs data into the computer in order to maintain computer records and generate client lists. Assists in performing security checks and assists in searching all clients before entering the facility; assists the Security Guards as needed. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write and communicate the English language. Ability to respond to emergency situations quickly and calmly while maintaining control and initiating the proper corrective action. Ability to perform combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent basis.
