JOB SUMMARY

The Housing Officer plays a crucial role in managing housing services and ensuring that residents have access to quality accommodation. This position involves working closely with tenants, landlords, and various stakeholders to facilitate housing solutions and resolve issues. The ideal candidate will possess strong analysis skills to assess housing needs and develop effective strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in a housing-related role or similar (Minimum 2yrs Experience).
  • Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on customer service.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to housing is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good knowledge of Ilford, Barking, Dagenham & Newham Areas is essential
  • A full clean, current and valid UK driving license, essential (Minimum Age 23 Due to insurance requirements)

    Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough property inspections in a timely and precise manner.
  • Document visible defects or breaches of tenancy through photographs and detailed descriptions.
  • Serve as the primary contact for tenants encountering issues throughout their tenancy.
  • Arrange and complete Quarterly property visits and escalate concerns to senior management.
  • Manage Property Voids and coordinate with maintenance teams and other team members.
  • Ensure all compliance documentation is up to date to include CP12, NIC, EPC and Property licence
