Your Opportunity Join our past paced and dynamic team to support some of the more vulnerable people in our community to maintain their housing and thrive in their communities. This is a customer-facing role requiring strong resilience and commitment to continuous improvement. You will ideally have had previous experience in the property management, community housing industries or community services sector. As a Housing Officer, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive tenancy and property management services to tenants across our housing programs. This includes managing tenancies, maintaining accurate records, and supporting clients to sustain long-term housing outcomes. You will also play a key role in building strong relationships with tenants, service providers, and internal teams to support holistic and client-focused outcomes. Join us in fostering positive change and empowering young lives through the Townsville Youth Foyer initiative. Your key responsibilities will be to: Conducting all the arrangements to lease vacant properties quickly and effectively Work with tenants to assist and support them in maintaining their tenancies Carry out property inspections and complete the required property reports Prepare court/tribunal documents where necessary Ensure tenancy and property records are kept up to date and information recorded meets the organisations and Regulatory standards Maintain a strong KPI focus across a variety of performance areas Maintain positive relationships with external and internal stakeholders Actively contribute to developing and implementing strategies that connect tenants to additional support Requirements for Success Demonstrated experience working with vulnerable client groups with strong people skills Knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act would be preferred Previous experience working in the housing or social welfare sector would be preferred Strong experience with Microsoft Office products for reporting Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong administrative experience and interpersonal skills Current Drivers’ Licence and valid WWCC As part of our Employment screening process you will also be required to undertake a National Criminal History Check and will need a Working with Children Check.
