Description

ARE YOU A HOUSING OFFICER WITH A PASSION FOR SPECIALIST HOUSING OR SUPPORTED LIVING?

We have an opportunity for a Retirement Housing Officer to join our team at our brand-new facility at Cathedral Park, Hereford. As this is a brand-new facility, you will have the opportunity to have real input and get to know the facility before it opens to residents. You will support with set-up, be involved with media and marketing for the new facility and establish new processes.
This is a part-time role working 23 hours per week. Shift patterns will typically be either between 8:30am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. You will also participate in an out of hours standby rota, a minimum of three times per year, to provide occasional phone-based support to our Retirement Living schemes.
As a Housing Officer, you will be providing a housing and tenancy management service to maximise tenancy sustainment. You’ll be a regular and flexible customer contact for the residents, providing practical and preventative support and advice. As well as this, you will signpost to specialist care and support services to maximise wellbeing, social interaction and minimise isolation.
You provide effective building management, including property inspections, risk assessments, H&S monitoring and compliance checks. Responding, investigating, and taking timely action to reported breaches of tenancy/leasehold agreements will be a key part of the role.
Whilst the role is based at our new Cathedral Park site, you will be initially based at Rose Gardens whilst construction is completed. You will also be required to travel to other Platform offices as required.
Here at Platform we believe in making a difference to older people’s lives and we work to achieve this by providing the best levels of service to our residents and always approaching challenges with a can-do attitude. If you want to make a genuine difference with the work you do, this might be the right role for you!

Responsibilities

Working with us is more than just a job, you will be joining an amazing organisation that values you and your contribution, and where you can truly make a difference and change people’s lives.
You will join the largest social housing association in the Midlands. We’re much more than just houses; we build homes, strong communities, and make a real and positive difference to the lives of our customers.
We recognise the unique and individual needs of people, so if you are interested in this role but would like to explore a different way of working to the standard Monday to Friday, 9-5 approach, then please highlight this on your application or discuss it with us at the interview stage. After all, we want to attract the best people to work for us and we know that one size does not fit all.
Platform is a great place to work, we offer lots of opportunities for you to get involved, share ideas and shape what we do - from networking groups through to fun community and social events. This is an exciting time to join us, that will provide you with real exposure to the wider dynamics of a truly modern housing association that will play a major part in delivering our 5-year corporate strategy.
If we receive a high number of applications, this vacancy may expire prior to the closing date. Please apply early to avoid disappointment.
Platform Housing Group are committed to building a healthy, vibrant and inclusive organisation that treats people with respect and creates opportunities for all
