Title: Housing Disrepair Fee Earner/Paralegal
I am currently working with a highly regarded reputable law firm who are seeking an experienced Housing Disrepair fee earner to join their office in Oldham.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable full service law firm, who offer genuine progression opportunities for a training contract or equivalent.
The successful candidate will be an ambitious individual, ideally with around 1 year case handling experience.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE EXPERIENCE:

• Management of a caseload of pre-litigated Housing Disrepair cases under supervision.
• Responsible for compliance with court directions and orders
• Compliance with internal instructions and those from supervisors, in a timely fashion
• Ensuring cases are ran efficiently and with regular updates to clients
• Building and maintaining a good relationship with clients, courts and third parties
• Experience in drafting Letter of Claims, Data Subject Access Requests (DSAR’s), liaising with Surveyors and going through reports and examining key detail.
• Ability to manage a case from proceedings being commenced, to trial
• Experienced in using a case management and diary system
• Ability to negotiate and settle cases/ achieve best outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in legal negotiation
• Proficiency in legal drafting
• Paralegal certification or relevant experience in housing disrepair cases
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
