WHAT YOU BRING

We are looking to engage team members with diverse skills, experiences, and interests. These are some of the competencies and credentials we are looking for:

  • Degree or Diploma in Community Rehabilitation, Disability Studies, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Previous demonstrated experience in a leadership role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A high level of problem-solving and decision-making skills and ability to manage high- stress and emergencies effectively
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule
  • Demonstrate a high standard of professionalism aligned with Vecova values
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with all Vecova team members
  • Represent Vecova in a professional manner
  • Demonstrate a high level of initiative and enthusiasm
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Demonstrate a high level of administrative and IT capacity
Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership, direction and support to all employees reporting to the position
  • Assign work and mentor and coach employees in completing their job functions
  • Provide ongoing performance feedback and complete monthly supervision and performance evaluations
  • Establish goals to develop or enhance skills and competencies and address area outcomes
  • Ensure awareness and compliance with Vecova policies and procedures
  • Ensure mandatory training is complete and current
  • Responsible for the delivery of quality consumer services
  • Responsible for managing employee resources in an ultra complex housing environment including employee absences
  • Oversee training of team members
  • Recruit new employees reporting to the position in conjunction with the Manager
  • Complete scheduling, approve shifts, fill shifts and approve absences within the ERM
