As a member of the Housing Safety Team, you will contribute to the overall success of the Housing Standards Team through a combination of reactive and planned surveys/risk assessments. Those surveys/risk assessments will inform the Housing Improvement, De-carbonisation and compliance programs of work.
The team are responsible for ensuring the council’s housing assets are maintained to meet all current statutory, regularity and legislative standards.
You will complete onsite compliance inspections such as fire alarm testing, emergency lighting testing and legionella controls in housing assets, conduct surveys and produces schedules of works for void properties to meet the lettable standard, advising the income officer of works that may be recharged to the tenant, conduct energy performance assessments and support entry and Mid level surveyors as required
