Responsibilities

A BIT ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Housing Support Practitioner, your primary responsibility will be providing assistance to young individual between the ages of 16-21 years who are either homeless or at risk of homelessness in the local area. Our role is centred around supporting them to realise their full potential. Rossorry Grove Supported Accommodation serves as a home for 13 young people, and as a Housing Support Practitioner you’ll be responsible for aiding them in managing their day-to-day lives and facilitating access to specialised services that will help address the various challenges our young people may encounter. You’ll play a vital role in preparing them for their future endeavours.

Some key responsibilities of the Housing Support Practitioner role are;

  • Engaging with vulnerable young people.
  • Working with our young people in small groups and/ or on an individual basis depending on their needs.
  • Working alongside other staff teams and outside organisations to ensure the best outcome for the young people.
  • Ensuring progress is monitored, recorded and reviewed at set intervals, putting in additional support where required to ensure goals are met.
  • Mentoring and supporting other members of the team
