On offer is a full-time position with a set rota to fit in with the existing team and weekly pay, giving you the opportunity to work in a role where every day is different. You will be assisting Scotland’s oldest Military Charity in their search for Support Workers with a knowledge of the supported housing sector to join this vital service and team. The charity is specialized to support former serving Armed Forces and Merchant Navy individuals, who are or at risk of homelessness. The Mission is to provide an environment of positive well being and sustainable housing out comes for all service users. Our client does everything in their power to encourage independence and to gain permanent accommodation.
As a housing support worker, you will need to ensure the service users understand their current occupancy and help develop a plan for the veteran’s goals to progress. You will also have the opportunity to work with other support services to help the mission. Tasks will include you prioritizing their health and wellbeing, including helping with local GP and dentist appointments. You will also be a support for the day to day, such as helping service users to keep maintaining their flat or room safe and clean.
