Description
Overview HOUSTON, TX (LOCAL SEARCH ONLY) – A warm, down-to-earth family in the Memorial area is seeking a part-time professional nanny to care for their sweet 2.5-year-old daughter and provide steady, loving support to their household. This position offers 25 guaranteed hours per week with a unique, fluid schedule: three weekdays from 3:00 PM–7:00 PM, Saturdays from 11:00 AM–7:00 PM, and Sundays from 10:00 AM–7:00 PM, with two consecutive days off during the week. Their bright, affectionate little girl loves using her imagination, dancing, and creating through arts and crafts. She thrives in a calm, engaging environment filled with warmth, patience, and creativity. The family is looking for a nanny who can nurture her curiosity, encourage independence, and provide gentle structure throughout the day. Experience with toddlers and knowledge of early childhood development is highly valued. Responsibilities include: engaging their daughter in enriching, developmentally appropriate activities; preparing simple meals and snacks; managing nap and bedtime routines; tidying play areas; doing her laundry; and keeping her spaces organized. Light household support related to the child is appreciated. The family has a sweet Golden Retriever who is currently in training, so candidates must be comfortable with dogs. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required, as occasional errands and local outings may be needed. The family also enjoys traveling frequently throughout the year; including at least one international trip 7-10 days long, and several domestic trips and would love for their nanny to join them. A passport and flexibility for travel are essential, as the nanny will be an important part of the family’s travel routine. The position offer 25 guaranteed hours per week, two weeks of paid vacation, and three paid sick days; pay is commensurate with experience. The ideal start date is early to mid-January, with the opportunity to trial in December and shadow the current nanny in early January for a smooth and supportive transition. This is a wonderful opportunity for a nurturing, flexible, and professional nanny who finds joy in working with toddlers and is excited to grow alongside a loving Houston family and their imaginative little girl.
