TEMPORARY HR OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized HR Administrative Assistant / Auditor to assist a healthcare organization in Kealakekua. This is an ongoing temporary assignment for at least 8-10 weeks. In this role, you will provide critical support to the Human Resources department, ensuring compliance with Joint Commission standards and maintaining accurate employee records. Your contributions will be essential in supporting credentialing, onboarding, and personnel file management processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or HR coursework preferred
  • 1-2 years of administrative or clerical experience, preferably in a healthcare or HR setting
  • Familiarity with confidential document handling, scanning equipment, and digital file systems
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Basic understanding of healthcare credentialing and regulatory documentation is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and electronic document management systems
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission HR documentation standards or prior experience supporting survey readiness is preferred
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in handling sensitive employee data
  • Experience with multifunction scanners, naming conventions, and folder structure best practices is beneficial
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and State and Federal Background check

Responsibilities
  • Assist with survey readiness and provide support during audits or Joint Commission inspections
  • Accurately scan, upload, and organize personnel documents in electronic and physical HR files
  • Maintain complete, compliant personnel records in accordance with Joint Commission and internal policy requirements
  • Support the credentialing and re-credentialing process by tracking licensure expiration dates and scanning verification documents
  • Assist with onboarding and orientation by preparing new hire paperwork and ensuring required documentation is received and properly filed
  • Monitor and update HR databases, spreadsheets, and document tracking systems
  • Respond to routine inquiries regarding HR procedures, documentation status, or personnel file contents
